Gold Foil & Moss Green Letterpress Rehearsal Dinner Invitations with String Lights and Oak Tree

August 10, 2015

These rehearsal dinner invitations were one of my biggest challenges so far. When combining hot foil and letterpress on one invite and the colors are very close to eachother, like this invite, it is called close registration. The foil part (the lights and names ), were printed first. Then I had to line up the green letterpress part PERFECTLY or the tree would cover the pretty lights! It was tricky, but so worth it. I love pushing myself in my craft and trying new things.

The text and oak tree were letterpress printed in a earthy moss green ink, and the string light bulbs and bride & groom's names were printed in shiny gold foil.  The combination of the earthy moss green and festive gold foil is just perfect for a rehearsal dinner under the stars in South Carolina (or anywhere else for that matter)!

There were many gracious hosts who contributed to this, what I assume will be an amazing, affair.  We flat printed all of their names in moss green ink on vellum inserts.  Gold twine finished off this suite.
